Dear Friends,

I have recently made a decision which I hope all of you will support me in. I am going to ride 780 km over a 4 day period in August dedicated to my dear friend Rouein Bahmanian who recently passed away of Leukemia. My goal is to raise over 5000 dollars for young children that are facing the same thing that Rouein faced without complaint.

Please feel free to get in touch with me and I can tell you more about why I am doing this and how important it is to me and for the children. You can also read below for some more information on supporting my ride, on my friend, the race and on the amazing children whose lives we can change together.

My Friend
I have known Rouein for 8 years of my life and feel honored for the time that I have had with him. Rouein taught me a great deal of things about life, rather than giving advice Rouein lived each and everyday to the fullest and taught others by example. The greatest lesson that I learned from him was to never give up. Throughout his chemotherapy he displayed such tremendous courage that caused me to realize the meaning of the word “HOPE” and “DETERMINATION.” Although I had seen persistent people in different walks of my life this was the first time I had seen someone never give up. Not once did I notice him complain about his condition, nor make us feel sorry for him. When all the odds were stacked against him he still persevered and never gave up. Rouein loved and fought for each and everyday of his life. I have decided to do this for him, because I know this is a cause he would have wanted me to support.

The Race
I have decided to do the 4 day epic tour for kids which will pass threw Ontario country roads and cottage country. Starting in Richmond Hill, just outside Toronto, I will go north through the granite outcroppings of Muskoka. Then head east, the route will wind over rolling hills into Halliburton before entering the glacial moraine and cedar forests of the Kawarthas. The route will pass by the location of the camp that we are helping to support.

The Children

The mission of Tour For Kids is to raise funds for three extraordinary camps that allow children with cancer to share laughter and build friendships with other brave kids from across Canada.You can help. Every dollar pledged goes straight to the camps so they can enrich the lives of thousands of campers. Over the past 5 years Tour For Kids have raised over $2,200,000 for cancer charities. This year I have set a goal of raising $5000. All your support is so very much appreciated. Thank You.
